Liverpool Philharmonic offers an exemplary customer experience for all our visitors to our events and activities. Reporting to the Event Manager, our Senior Stewarding team is responsible for direct supervision of our Stewards, ensuring that high standards are maintained across all areas of our front of house operation. You will be able to demonstrate a genuine passion for providing fantastic customer service, both as an individual and as part of a team – this is paramount to maintaining the excellent standards to which the Hall aspires. You will be proactive in ensuring the welfare and safety of all visitors, including key responsibilities during an emergency. You’ll be a natural problem solver, able to take lead when required to ensure that customer issues are dealt with efficiently in our fast paced environment. In addition you will be experienced in conflict resolution (ideally, a holder of a current SIA Door Supervisor Licence but this is not a requirement). You will enjoy engaging with people from all walks of life, acting as an ambassador for the Hall and promoting its facilities and services with natural flare and an enthusiasm for our charitable aims. Above all you will want to go the extra mile to create positively memorable experiences.

This is a variable hour contract. On average, we anticipate that the work will be approximately 15 hours per week, with the exception of August where we have no events.

Event activity at Liverpool Philharmonic takes place 7 days per week. Shifts are primarily after 5.00pm each day, however there are additional morning and matinee concerts throughout each season.

Our expectation is that you are available to work 60-80 hours per month, increasing to 80-100 during our busy periods (May-June & October – December). You would also be expected to work during the Christmas and New Year period; we are only non-operational on Christmas Day and Boxing Day.

The salary for this role is £8.50 per hour.
