Could you be part of the next generation of Liverpool Philharmonic musicians, singers or administrators?
By joining Liverpool Philharmonic Youth Company you’ll develop your skills through performance and composition as members of Liverpool Philharmonic Youth Choir, Youth Orchestra and as Rushworth Young Composers.
Are you aged between 12 and 23, from Liverpool or the wider North West? The Youth Company is providing opportunities for young people like you to play in ensembles, such as Liverpool Philharmonic Big Band, Brass Band and chamber groups.
Learn new music and skills with coaching from Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra musicians. And perform at Liverpool Philharmonic Hall.
Get involved in as much as you can, it isn't just simply a choir and an orchestra, it offers you so much more and if you take advantage of that, your experience will be all the more rewarding.
Be inspired and learn with internationally renowned visiting artists. Members have benefited from masterclasses by Nicola Benedetti, Andrew Manze and Christian Lindberg.
Youth Company opportunities improve young peoples’ employability through work experience in Liverpool Philharmonic’s variety of departments and activities, auditions advice for those applying to university and Music College, and an annual music industry careers day featuring speakers from a range of musical organisations.
I would thoroughly recommend being involved. I have really gained in confidence this year. I was reluctant to join because I felt so nervous and did not think I was good enough. It has been fabulous to work with such a supportive, friendly group.
Liverpool Philharmonic promotes health and wellbeing for Youth Company members through regular best practice sessions for instrumentalists and vocalists. And provides a supportive and varied experience for young people who are passionate about music and want to play at a high level across genres, styles and instruments.
Liverpool Philharmonic Youth Company was founded in 2015 as part of Liverpool Philharmonic’s commitment to developing young musical talent in Liverpool.
