Liverpool Philharmonic Training Choir and Melody Makers Accompanist Scholarship may be the opportunity for you. 







The Royal Liverpool Philharmonic’s Accompanist Scholarship offers a unique and challenging opportunity for a talented and enthusiastic young pianist to develop accompanying and musicianship skills.

What is expected of you


To accompany Liverpool Philharmonic Training Choir and Melody Makers for weekly rehearsals (usually held on Monday evenings) and performances


What you get in return


  • An honorarium of £500 paid in monthly instalments from September to June
  • Three piano lessons each term with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Choir’s accompanist
  • The opportunity to perform a solo at the summer concert
  • Experience of being a part of one of the UK’s most forward-looking music organisations


    Who can apply


    Applicants should be:
  • Aged 18 or under on 1 September 2008
  • ABRSM Grade 6 standard or above
  • Keen to learn more about choral accompaniment

    The Liverpool Philharmonic Training Choir and Melody Makers offer first class vocal training through diverse and challenging music making for children aged 7-12.
