Liverpool Philharmonic Training Choir & Melody Makers
Singing at the Phil - Opportunities for Children
Looking for an interesting after-school activity for your child? Why not consider signing up for the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic's choirs for children aged 7-12?
The choirs, Melody Makers and the Training Choir, are a great way for kids to have fun, meet new friends, and make music at the Liverpool Phil. No specialist knowledge is required - just the desire to sing! Both choirs sing lots of different types of music and are the perfect introduction to choral singing. In addition, your children will have the opportunity to learn about music through fun games and activities.
Listen to the Training Choir sing Dodi Li
Listen to the Training Choir sing Foggy Birthday Shuffle
When do they meet?
The choirs meet once a week to rehearse in Liverpool. They also have the opportunity to perform at informal concerts throughout the year.
How much is membership?
The cost of the programme is just £45 per year. In addition, your child will receive discounts on tickets to selected Royal Liverpool Philharmonic concerts. If you are unable to afford the annual fee, a limited number of bursaries are available.
How to apply
To apply, send in the completed application form and we'll send you a welcome pack. Don't worry - your child does not need to be able to read music or sing like Pavarotti! Just come along and join us for learning and fun...
Rehearsals start mid September so please get your application to us as soon as you can and no later than 15 September.
