Katherine Lacy plays Bass Clarinet in the Orchestra, joining in 2005.

How long have you been with the RLPO?
A. Since 2005

Q. What was your earliest musical experience?
A. Hiding behind the sofa in fear when the wolf came on on my Mum's Peter and the Wolf record!

Q. Do you play any other instruments?
A. A bit of piano and saxophone

Q. If you could play a different instrument, which one would it be?
A. Bassoon or Cor Anglais 

Q. What would you most like to do if you weren’t a musician?
A. A professional chocolate tester!  (or slightly more realistically an Orchestral Manager) 

Q. If you could take a recording of one piece of music to a desert island, what would it be?
A. Prelude a L'apres midi d'une faune by Debussy

Q. Which piece of music do you most enjoy playing?
A. Mozart Grand Partita for 13 wind insturments

Q. Which personality (historical, musical or otherwise – living or dead!) would you most like to share a bottle of wine with?
A. Probably a long lost relative like a great great great grandparent.

Q. Where’s your favourite place to eat/drink in Liverpool?
A. To eat: Tokyou Noodle Bar on Berry Street and Bistro Jaques, to drink: Alma da Cuba and the good old Philharmonic Pub

Q. What do you do to relax in your free time?
A. Love going to salsa classes, also enjoy going to the cinema, eating out and socialising!

Q. Where’s your favourite holiday destination?
A. Amsterdam
