Hope University Partnership
Liverpool Hope has entered into a formal partnership with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic. Members of the Orchestra are visiting fellows of the University, and teach in Hope's Music Department. There are regular workshops for student composers and performers, demonstrations, a chamber concert series, visits to the Liverpool Phil's concerts and rehearsals and special events such as Ensemble 10/10's series of new music concerts at the Cornerstone.
All students of Music at Hope benefit from this unique partnership, and for some there will be the opportunity to apply for a Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Instrumental Scholarship, details of which appear below. Music can be studied at Hope as a single honours degree Music, Popular Music, Music Technology, or as part of the BA Hounors Combined programme, in combination with another subject.
Details of courses in Music at Hope are available at www.hope.ac.uk. For specific enquiries related to admissions call 0151 291 3295.
Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Instrumental Scholarships
at Liverpool Hope University
As part of the partnership agreement reached between the University and the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic, a number of instrumental scholarships are offered each year. These provide the successful applicant with free lessons from a member of the Liverpool Phil for the duration of the scholarship, and which will normally be held for the full duration of the course. Applications are invited from current students or anyone planning to come to study Music at Hope. The scholarships will be available in any orchestral instrument; however, we are particularly interested in receiving applications from string players.
