About the tour blog

The Royal Liverpool Philarhmonic Orchestra is the UK’s oldest surviving professional symphony orchestra. This blog gives you a look behind the scenes as the Orchestra goes on tour through out the UK, Europe and further afield.

The Orchestra plays approximately 70 concerts each season (September – June) in its home, Liverpool Philharmonic Hall, as well as concerts in venues across the city, including Liverpool’s two cathedrals. We also tour regularly throughout the UK and world-wide and have an extensive discography featuring many critically acclaimed recordings.
