(Philharmonic Hall & Events)
Simon joined the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic as Director of Philharmonic Hall in March 2003 after having been the Executive Director of Roadmender in Northampton since 2001, a combined arts venue with a strong emphasis on contemporary music programming, which was undergoing ACE funded stabilisation.
From 1992 until joining Roadmender Simon worked independently on event, tour and project programming, production and safety management. He undertook production work on the Jazzworld Stage at the Glastonbury Festival from 1992 and from 1995 combined this with programming the stage at the Festival until 2000.
He is the founder of the Sarajevo International Jazz Festival and has worked in both programming and production in Bosnia-Herzegovina and Mostar where he helped launch the Pavarotti Music Centre in Mostar.
