Sedaka is one of pop’s most successful and respected songwriters and performers. He has written for The Monkees, The 5th Dimension and Frankie Valli among many others. The early 70s saw Sedaka, already an international superstar with his 60s hits Oh! Carol and Breaking Up Is Hard To Do, recording the future worldwide smash Solitaire with members of 10CC, a track that would go on to be covered by Andy Williams, The Carpenters, Elvis Presley and American Idol Clay Aiken. A year later he wrote one of his biggest hits, Love Will Keep Us Together.

As composer of (Is This the Way to) Amarillo? he holds the Guinness World Record for the best selling UK single of the 21st century (so far). He has been inducted into the Songwriter’s Hall of Fame, received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and even done a stint as a Guest Judge on American Idol. Sedaka has never stopped recording music or touring and his influence on our musical landscape is undisputed, he is one of the godfathers of pop music.
