Tahiti is the most recent release from celebrated American composer Michael Torke. With his characteristic influence of jazz and minimalism, Fiji and Tahiti are delicious tropical confections of orchestral and percussive sounds.
“Every now and then something comes along and sweeps me off my feet… [Fiji is] a high kicking, free and easy quarter of an hours worth that makes light but significant use of percussion and has some really catchy tunes and it’s also a sort of concerto for orchestra … my advice is to sit back and enjoy, or, even better, dance around and enjoy!”
Rob Cowan, BBC Radio 3
