  • Chief Conductor Vasily Petrenko commences his sixth season conducting a range of concerts demonstrating his renowned versatility
  • New themed series include No.9, Essential Beethoven, Music and the Cinema
  • Conclusion of Mahler Edition, continuation of Made in Britain series and Shostakovich symphony cycle
  • Artists’ roll-call includes Midori, James Ehnes, Simon Trpčeski, Stephen Hough, Kathryn Stott and Orchestra's Principal Players
  • Prestigious chamber and new music series

The Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra’s 2011/2012 season represents one of the most complete and exciting musical offers in any city in the UK, ranging from an outstanding orchestral and choral music season, through to some of the best contemporary music performed by the Orchestra and its new music group, Ensemble 10/10, and a prestigious recital series in the Rodewald Concert Series. With a wide range of learning programmes complementing the concerts, the line-up continues to build on the successes of recent seasons.
