A set of reels at the Irish Sea Sessions 2010

In the finale of the Irish Sea Sessions, the group plays an exhilarating medley of Newly Mowed Meadows, The Abbey, The Dublin and The Sandmont Reels.  Part super group, part colossal session and part festival, all in a single gig, the inaugural Irish Sea Sessions took place at Liverpool Philharmonic Hall on Friday 22 October 2010.

Liverpool Philharmonic devised and produced the ambitious Irish Sea Sessions project as part of Liverpool Irish Festival 2010. The massively acclaimed show had one local critic awarding the concert 15 out of 10! It was also voted the best folk/roots event of the year by Liverpool Daily Post readers.

This very special concert featured Bernard O’Neill, Terry Coyne, Ian Prowse, Becky Taylor, Carlene Anglim, Colette O’Leary, Eimear McGeown, Niamh Parsons, Graham Dunne, Gino Lupari, Dave Munnelly, Damien Dempsey, Alan Burke and Lizzie Nunnery.

Irish Sea Sessions will be back at Liverpool Philharmonic Hall on Friday 21 October 2011.
