‘Hottest Classical Tickets of the Year’  – The Times

Gustav Mahler said that a symphony ‘should be like the world - it should embrace everything’. In his Second Symphony, he went even further – with a symphony that takes you to the end of the world itself!

It’s more like a blockbuster movie than a classical symphony, with an ending that’ll leave you choked with emotion. Heart-rending personal tragedy, Viennese waltzes, and a roof-raising musical depiction of the Day of Judgment itself: it’s all there, scored for a colossal orchestra. No question, this is one of the musical events of the year.

So be there, as Vasily Petrenko and the RLPO join our superb chorus and Phil favourites Kate Royal and Catherine Wyn-Rogers for a musical journey that could change your life.
