Playing for Liverpool on the world stage and cementing their renaissance as an orchestra of international stature, the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra will perform concerts at three major music festivals in Spain during August; the Quincena Musical in San Sebastián; Festival Internacional in Santander; and Xacobeo 2010 in Santiago de Compostela.
The Orchestra will travel to China in October, a country where interest in classical music is growing rapidly, performing at the Shanghai Concert Hall as well supporting the City of Liverpool’s presence at the World Expo 2010. They will then travel to the capital, Beijing to take part in the Beijing Music Festival, the largest and most prestigious festival of classical music in China.
