With a successful recording career spanning over 35 years, Moore is one of contemporary Irish music's best-loved singer/songwriters. His stature and influence in Irish roots music is unparalleled.
Starting life out as a founder of 70s folk band Planxty and then Moving Hearts in the 80s, Moore is now best-known as a solo folk singer/songwriter, guitarist and bodhran player. He adds elements of rock and popular music to his well-crafted, tradition-based tunes and has been a major inspiration to modern Irish artists from U2, through Sinead O'Connor to The Pogues.
