Jim Hutton - Violin

Jim Hutton is a second violin section player,  joining the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra in January 1981. Having played with the Orchestra for over 25 years, Jim is an Honorary Life Member of the Society.

A.
Listening to a recording of 'How Much is That Doggy in the Window'.

Q. If you could play a different instrument, which one would it be?   
A.
Viola.

Q. What would you most like to do if you weren’t a musician?   
A.
Live in Donegal and work on a salmon river.

A.
Playing at the Three Choirs Festivals.

Q. What do you like to do with your free time outside music?   
A.
What little free time, I like to be able to have time with my wife and two daughters to shop, visit National Trust properties, stay in and watch a good film, and eat out when we can afford to do so.

Q. What do you like most about Liverpool?   
A.
Its varied history and geographical location.
