Q. What was your earliest musical experience?   
A.
Listening to members of my family play Neapolitan folk songs from as early as I can remember.

Q. If you could play a different instrument, which one would it be?
A.
I would like to be a singer or play the timpani as I love the sound.

Q. What would you most like to do if you weren’t a musician?   
A.
I have many other career interests, but physiotherapy or veterinary are two examples.

A.
The Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra's Shostakovich's Symphonies 5 & 9 ,  Latin Salsa Fever and various others.

Q. What is your favourite Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra recording?    
A.
...so far, Shostakovich 9th Symphony.

Q. What is your most memorable moment with the Orchestra so far?  
A
. London BBC Prom 2008

Q. What do you like to do with your free time outside music?   
A.
Teach, play chamber music, spend time with family and friends, read, go to the gym, salsa lessons, cook, consume plenty of good wine and food... not necessarily in that order!

Q. What do you like most about Liverpool?   
A.
The ambience and the docks.
