From folk and country, rock n pop, roots and world music, to great films and new stand-up comedy through to Liverpool’s major festivals, there’s a hot new season planned this summer at Liverpool Philharmonic Hall.
Big names announced in the new season include Tony Christie (27 June), Dionne Warwick (June 4), Alison Krauss & Union Station (July 14), Jools Holland with his Rhythm and Blues Orchestra (26 July) and Southport’s pop idol Marc Almond (September 22), as well as top stand-up from comedians including Simon Amstell (May 29) and Jon Richardson (July 27) and a range of folk and roots gigs including the fabulous folk and brass band collaboration between The Unthanks with Brighouse & Rastrick Brass Band (June 17), folk fusion project and festival favourites The Imagined Village (25 May) and a new After 8 series in Liverpool Philharmonic’s smaller cabaret-style space, The Rodewald Suite.
