A. 1992
Q. What was your earliest musical experience?
A. Seeing the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra playing Peter and the Wolf in about 1964!
Q. If you could play a different instrument, which one would it be?
A. Baritone Sax.
Q. What would you most like to do if you weren’t a musician?
A. Something involving mechanical engineering.
Q. What is your favourite Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra recording?
A. Tod's Dream of Gerontius
Q. What is your most memorable moment with the Orchestra so far?
A. Seeing the Hall in the middle of the refurbishment when the inside was completely gutted, no stage, and filled with a honeycomb of scaffolding.
Q. What do you like to do with your free time outside music?
A. Either riding my motorbike 2-up with my wife, or walking Nelson, our Border Terrier.
