A.
September 2005

Q. What was your earliest musical experience?
A
. My Dad bringing a horn home from school when I was nine and being told I was going to play it!

Q. If you could play a different instrument, which one would it be?
A.
Trombone.

Q. What would you most like to do if you weren’t a musician?
A.
Play rugby for Wales. Meteorology or volcanology.

Q. What’s on your record/CD/MP3 Player/Spotify Playlist right now?
A.
Anything with the Cleveland or Montreal Orchestras.

A. Shostakovich

Q. What is your most memorable moment with the Orchestra so far?
A.
Actually being offered the job, I thought they were joking!

Q. What do you like to do with your free time outside music?
A.
Anything that involves my family; walking, swimming, holidays, we're spoilt for choice in North Wales.

Q. What do you like most about Liverpool?
A.
The architecture, history and the people.
