A.
Principal Contrabassoon.

Q. When did you join the
Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra?
A.
I joined in February 2009.

Q. What was your earliest musical experience?    
A.
Probably teaching myself the recorder when I was about 6 or listening to my parents choice of music - Neil Diamond!

Q. If you could play a different instrument, which one would it be?    
A.
I would play the harp or the cor anglais.

Q. What would you most like to do if you weren’t a musician?
A.
I'd like to be a millionaire property developer.

A.
OMD Greatest Hits.

Q. What is your favourite
Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra recording?
A.
My favourite recording is the first one I did with the orchestra: Tchaikovsky Manfred Symphony conducted by Vasily Petrenko.    

Q. What is your most memorable moment with the Orchestra so far?    
A
. There have already been quite a few! I think Playing Prokofiev's 5th Symphony on tour in Prague.

Q. What do you like to do with your free time outside music?
A.
Music takes up most of my free time, but I play a bit of squash and I like watching DVDs or going to the cinema. I enjoy cooking and have also recently formed a pub quiz team.    

Q. What do you like most about Liverpool?
A.
I like discovering all the quirky pubs and sampling the different ales. I also like the way the city looks - the skyline of Liverpool is brilliant. Good shopping too.
