1st violin section player

Q. When did you join the Orchestra?
A.
March 2004

Q. What was your earliest musical experience?    
A.
Probably 'playing' the piano at home as a baby!

Q. If you could play a different instrument, which one would it be?
A.
Piano - it's satisfying to be able to play all the harmonies yourself, as well as melody.

Q. What would you most like to do if you weren’t a musician?
A.
Probably be a doctor or nurse.

A.
The recently released Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra Shostakovich 5 & 9 CD !

Q. What is your favourite Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra recording?    
A.
Petrenko conducting Tchaikovsky ballets. I had to miss the recording sessions following a car accident but I was there in spirit, and remember the concerts!

Q. What is your most memorable moment with the Orchestra so far?  
A.
Concerts at the Phil when the hall is absolutely packed (Petrenko conducting) and our playing is followed by thunderous applause and standing ovation!

Q. What do you like to do with your free time outside music?   
A.
Hill walking mainly, also swimming, meeting up with friends and family.

Q. What do you like most about Liverpool?   
A.
The waterfront, also the area including the Phil, between the two cathedrals.
