Experiencing Music
Liverpool Philharmonic believes every child should have the opportunity to experience world class live orchestral music in their time at school. Since the 1940s, concerts for schools have been a central part of our artistic programme, inspiring and enthusing children and young people.
Working with Liverpool Philharmonic can be a fantastic way of supporting the delivery of the music curriculum, cross-curricular projects, creative learning and school improvement. Quality music making with leading professionals can inspire children and young people, provide fun experiences and broaden their horizons. It can provide the spark that ignites imagination, develops creativity, raises ambitions and aspirations, and contributes to improved achievement. Music making supports the development of life skills such as communication, risk taking, flexibility and team work – central to life and employability in the 21st Century.
We fully support the aims of the national Music Manifesto and based upon our programme reaching over 22,000 children and young people every year, we are committed to working in partnership with local authorities, Music Services, schools, Specialist Colleges and the music sector to ensure we provide the highest quality music education for every child in Liverpool and beyond.
