African Soul Rebels is the annual tour that has introduced audiences throughout the UK to the likes of Amadou and Mariam, Emmanual Jal, Souad Massi, Tinariwen, Femi Kuti, Rachid Taha and many more.

Driven by her majestic presence and spellbinding voice, Sangare is a huge force for women's rights and economic development in her native Mali. Oumou and her super-tight band bring an irrepressible energy and joie de vivre to their performances.

"Sangare's new album combines ancestral passion and a modern, urban poise". The Telegraph

Orchestre Poly-Rythmo de Cotonou are arguably West Africa's best kept secret, Benin's finest band spent the 70s mixing funk and Afrobeat with the bewitching rhythms of their native Voudoun tradition. Their output, both in quantity and quality, is astonishing - and live they're still producing revelatory psychedelic grooves.

"If you've wondered what James Brown-inspired Seventies floor-fillers from the home of voodoo sound like, well, they're not kidding about the 'poly-rythmo' bit". The Observer

Kalahari Surfers mix dub rhythms and social comment with the voice of the Sowetan rebel poet Lesego Rampolokeng. They are a collective who have been collaborating for twenty years. Last year they toured under the name TransSky with Massive Attack and are currently working on a project with ex The Orb members Greg Hunter and Kris Wesson.
